Reception Children Take Off on a Journey of Discovery

Percival Class and Byron Class have enjoyed a wonderful, busy and inspiring half term.

The children have been diving into their Transport and Vehicles topic through a range of memorable hands-on experiences including a large-scale airport role-play complete with tickets, passports and an in-flight fruit snack and an exciting Pirate Day where they arrived in costume, followed maps and uncovered hidden treasure.  They have designed, built and tested their own boats and aeroplanes, explored space travel by learning about the first female astronaut and role-played life aboard a space station, even sampling real space food!

It truly has been a rich journey of imagination, discovery and joyful learning for all.
