Journey into Learning: Campbell Class explore how we travel to School

What a wonderful start to the year!  Campbell Class has had a fantastic start to the year, and it has been a pleasure to welcome all the children back to Nursery.  It has been especially lovely getting to know our new starters who have settled in beautifully.

This half term, the children have been learning about the different ways we travel to school.  Some of us walk, some travel by car and we were very excited to discover that some children travel by bus.  This sparked lots of enthusiasm and became the starting point for some wonderful learning experiences.

The children enjoyed taking part in imaginative play on their own imaginary bus, travelling to a variety of different destinations.  Some children were off to weddings, others popped to Tesco and the beach proved to be a popular destination.  Miss Coffey checked all the tickets carefully before each journey, and off we went.

It has been a joy to see the children’s creativity, confidence and excitement for learning so early in the year.  We can’t wait to see what journey our learning will take us on next.
