Year 2 Kick Off the Term with Rapunzel, Maths & Playball Fun!

Year 2 have settled back into school beautifully.  It has been lovely to see their enthusiasm and readiness to learn as we begin the new term.  This week, the children have particularly enjoyed exploring the story Rapunzel, engaging brilliantly with the characters and discussing the events of the tale.

In maths, we have been focusing on counting in tens, and the children have been absolutely amazing.  Their confidence and accuracy are growing each day, and we are very proud of their progress.

The children also took part in an exciting Playball taster session.  They had a fantastic time developing their coordination and teamwork skills.  Playball will now be offered as an After School Club for those who would like to take part.  There will be after school sessions every Thursday for Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 from 3:00pm - 4:00pm.  The first half of the term we will be at Pine Ridge for 4 weeks (15^th Jan - 5^th Feb), and the second half of the term will be at Lorraine (26^th Feb - 19^th March).  To book you will need to register and pay via the MCAS App.
