There's a Buzz in the Air at Pine Ridge!

Yesterday, Pine Ridge Infant School was visited by a local Beekeeper.  The children had great fun learning all about what happens in the hive!  There is a bossy Queen Bee and lots of lazy drones.  The children learnt that the female bees do all of the work!

There were no bees present, but there was plenty of equipment which the children had the opportunity to try on.  The talk was brought to life with an interactive beehive and a presentation with lots of interesting facts and pictures which the children found fascinating.
