Essentially a massive thank you HeadTeachers. A massive group hug to you all. These last few months have been incredibly difficult. And you have been shelters, protectors and guides. Thanks to Trusts, CEOs who like mine have been amazing to all their colleagues.

The support you can receive working for a large academy is just excellent. I am sure there are exceptions but working for has been an absolute pleasure so far.

All aboard our pirate boats!

Oak Class have been busy making pirate boats out of clay this week.  They have carried out their own investigations to see which shape boat floated the best; pointed, flat or curved.  They discovered that the pointed boat floated the best and it even held eight of their quiet critters!

Follow the link to see it floating!  https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Igv7OusRCxNQM3UPnWrsKo6ZcSEWP_aN/view?ts=5db1b2cd

Owl Class have also been designing their own boats using different recycled materials. They made their boat and then tested it to see if it would sink or float.  They had lots of fun creating their boats and they all floated!  They looked at the materials and decided that plastic was better than cardboard because it wouldn’t get soggy.
